Max Joseph Platz, Munich. The windows of Gucci and Prada aren’t the only thing catching peoples attention on this square. A pedestal of euro-pallets leads up to what appears to be a house. On top sits a single chair, or better yet, a throne. The house itself consists of an up-cylced green house tilted on it’s side. Inside is scaffolding allowing for a split level concept, and a roof-top terrace. Due to the surrounding shopping street, we wanted to play with the idea of the “shopping window.” We chose to make the house out of a semi opaque material. Through the placement of this house, and the ability to look Max Joseph in the eyes, the square is transformed into an interactive space and takes on a new context.
